Job Brief:

Company Name is searching for a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to our staff. As an Support Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal use of our hardware and software technologies, securing data, and enhancing system performance. You will also be responsible for consulting on IT equipment upgrades.


To ensure success as an IT Support, you must have extensive experience providing Information Technology support in a fast-paced environment with multiple segments. The IT Support Specialists will contribute to our productivity by ensuring that company IT systems run effectively and efficiently for staff and customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for consulting with IT managers and department heads of other departments as required.
  2. Provide IT assistance to our customers and staff as needed.
  3. Always respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
  4. Install and configure computer hardware and software.
  5. Ensure all hardware is up to date with the latest security features and software.
  6. Update hardware as needed; replace parts or replace hardware in its entirety.
  7. Assist in setting up accounts for new users.
  8. Responsible for configuring Android/Apple Cell phones as needed.
  9. Provide training to the end-users on software programs and hardware functionality.
  10. Maintain company databases in order to ensure system security.
  11. Responsible for documenting processes and performing diagnostic tests if needed.
  12. Keep track of current technological advancements and upcoming trends in IT support.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant.
  • Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
  • Must have at least 2 years of IT Support experience.


Requirements:

  • Proficiency with SQL or Excel skills.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and computer networks.
  • Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security.
  • Exceptional communication skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
